PRESS: Sibur plans to repay loan from National Wealth Fund early
MOSCOW, Aug 17 (PRIME) -- Russian petrochemical company Sibur plans to redeem a U.S. $1.75 billion loan taken from the National Wealth Fund to build the ZapSibNeftekhim facility before maturity, business daily Kommersant reported on Tuesday citing a source.
The company borrowed the money in 2015 at a floating rate calculated as the U.S. inflation plus 1 percentage point with maturity scheduled for 2030. Sibur has repaid $290.5 million of coupon yield. ZapSibNeftekhim was launched at full capacity in 2020.
The source said that Sibur does not want to overpay for the loan.
